whats up with that? it says in the topic "whats up with scooter man?" that push stole the melody for Strange World from Shamu from VdM. where does he get that? they sound totally different , those two songs!

im belgian, and so is push, and im proud to be able to say that, i love his music, and one thing he sure as hell isnt, is a rip-off.

They are definatly not the same but I can hear what they mean, it's hard to explain but there is something almost the same in the track...almost

THey aren't exactly the same, but there is a strong resemblence in the way the song was produced- maybe the synths or something, and the melody is kind of similar.

lol, looks like i really kicked up some dust with that...its an old theory thats been kicking around Trance.nu for a looong time now...didnt mean to pass on the "disease".

Seriously...i have a lot of respect for all 3 artists involved in this (Vincent, Mike, and Scooter), and all i know is the order of their release:

Vincent de Moor - Shamu
Push - Strange World
Scooter - (forgot the title, something about a Weekend)

Which pretty much led me to my own conclusions...

But as far I know Push didn't mean to use samples from Shamu for Strange World, but Scooter did

I would say the Push-VdM thing is more of an inspiration than a direct copy. Maybe it was deliberate, but maybe not.

I think one of the reasons people say that Push didnt steal this tune is respect. Most people tend to have more respect for Mike than the people that work in Scooter, so they tend to just jump all over him, whereas since Mike has done so much more "original" work, he gets more respect and credit...but if you look at Scooter about 10 years ago, he was one of the founder of the music we listen to today...but apparently he just got sidetracked somewhere

Too much he in that sentence.. Scooter are 3 persons.. in 93 - 98 the member were H.P Baxxer (fakeblond frontman who screams), Rick j Jordan (Producer) and Ferris Bueller (Producer, today active in the group Fragrance).. Ferris left for some reasons in 98.. Axel Coon (producer)took over his place and in 2002 he left Scooter, today hé is also a member in the group Fragrance.. In 2002 the producer Jay Frog took over the place, he is well known for his Planet Traxx remixes and his track Pushin'...

I know this cause I were a huge Scooter fan som years ago.. Rolling Eyes

hmm maybe Scooter have done some good things for the electronic music scene but they are not doing it anymore.. Sure they are probebly inspiring ppl out there but they are only repeating themself time after time and now only ripping from other bands Rolling Eyes I think that their time is over, sure they have always been ""borrowing"" things from Ultra Sonic and Klf but lately it have grown.. just look at there last album which contain like 12 traxx and about 8-9 of them are covers Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Ten years is very long time, a too long time for Scooter in my opinion Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

And they have something like eight albums out, kind of hard to be original when you're producing that many tracks- I think they should sit on their money and retire.
