yeah that's true..most of his sets are great because his medolic and uplifting trance, but i've heard bad trance energy sets too. Like the last trance energy set from him last year. That was a disappointment Sad

I saw a promo video of Gielen at Trance Energy 2001, that's what got me started on the track-listing. As I've mentioned before, I know nothing about DJ'ing, I couldn't tell a good set from a crappy one, but it seemed like he was doing a great job.
Maybe you've seen the video- who's his partner on the set? Is that Svenson?

I havn't seen that promo video but i was there on that event and his partner is indeed Svenson. Svenson is the man who plays most of the time on the drums or keybord during.

yuppa your not actually playing the song.. It's pre-recorded so they just have to push on a button and it will play... Most shows are playback or what I know Rolling Eyes

I don't know much about synths, but it did seem like Svenson's playing didn't line up with the music. Still, it was a great video!

Yeah for me it was a disappointment seeing svenson ''playing'' on his keyboard caus it was fake!!

And about the combination Gielen and Safri Duo..it was daring, but in my opinion it was a great combination. Like the great rhythm of the drums from Safri Duo and the melody from gielen..great combination i think!
