My FTP is now... ONLINE!!!

Yes, thats correct, my FTP is finally set up correctly and running.

Currently, there is no ratio Very Happy

. I'm going to try this out for a while and see how it goes. If I find that everyone is just leeching off me, then I will be forced to put up a ratio. However, if people upload some tracks as well as download (which is my main goal), then I will be happy. When new / rare tracks are uploaded, it makes the FTP a better place to visit.

I've added a poll to this message to see everyone's opinion. Please be honest.

I had to say Rare as I'm only on a 56k connection and it takes ages to upload even one song at 192kbps quailty (most songs i have are this bitrate)..

I will begin using your ftp during the week. For every 5 good tracks I download I will upload 1 new one. I am on ISDN so its not so fast Sad

Whoever is on 56k connections I don't expect you to upload, its hard enough just downloading. However (this goes for everyone), if you have a new / rare / excellent track that is not on my FTP, I encourage you to upload so other iVibes members can get a copy of it.

The FTP is running on a 1.5mbit cable.

So far, I've had great respone for uploads. DumondeFan has already uploaded 14 songs. Thanks again man!

I'll be adding my requests on the welcome message, and could possibly even add other iVibe member's as well if they PM me, or ask over ICQ. Let me know what you guys think.

Note to anyone uploading: Be sure to check my FTP to see what I have before uploading (I've received the same song twice already).

Dj Transcend, you'll need an FTP client program, such as CuteFTP.

It's possible that if you were having problems logging in, that it was not online.

The FTP server will be running at the following times:
Weekdays: 2pm - 10pm
Weekends: 11am - 11pm

The times are in GMT-8 time zone. As well they are just a general guideline, nothing official. Basically, if am online then my server is also (check any of my posts in the forums, as it it will display if I am on ICQ).

Depends if I'm online.. I was having a bit of computer difficulty yesterday for a while and it was down temporarily, so that could have been the problem as well.
bluE_Neon, you are in same time zone as me so try connecting between 2pm and 10pm. Should work.
