I heard the song a few times already, and I didn't get that Gouryella feeling when listening to it, I think this is just an average tune, like a lot of other songs out there. Nothing special,

What do you think?

I also think the other Gouryella tracks were way better. But that does not mean Ligaya sucks. It is very cool. It does have that Gouryella epic touch to it.

I love the tune Tim, I think that it's maybe not got the all round appeal of some of the previous gouryella tracks, maybe cos tiesto isn't in so some people refuse to believe, but for any fan of ferry like myself, it's a great tune, and if the ppl who're humping it just cos its gouryella pack it in, we can enjoy one of the best tunes this year Very Happy

It may not have much of the Gouryella sound but sure it great. Like DJ Bash said, any Ferry fan would like this because its a great uplifting track!

Well I love it, it's got that Gouryella touch to it, with or without Tiesto Gouryella still = win as far as i'm concerned.

It's all a bit Gouryella-by-numbers if you ask me and sounds at least two years out of date. What is that horrible squealy noise on the build-up about?? Ferry please remember you're Dutch not German and leave that kind of ear-bleeding nonsense to the Krauts - it's not big and it certainly isn't clever.

Anyway I heard a rumour that Ferry is now employing trained monkeys to churn out his tunes for him. Maybe that explains Pocket Damage, that dreadful Awakening remix and now this latest disaster. Maybe he should cut off the banana supply until they can come up with something a bit better.

hehe I guess for non-gouryella fans it might be a bit of a letdown, but for fans of ferry like a lot of us are, it's pure magic, and hopefully the forthcoming remixes will give those who aren't fans of the original a tune to enjoy

All previous Gouryella songs: Gouryella, Walhalla, Tenshi, all had a special feel to it, which hasn't been included in this release, so I feel very disappointed!!!

But maybe the H&H remix will change that?

Slinky Sarah !!
What did you just say about those "krauts" ?

Iīm german - and I ainīt happy about such words bout me...

You must have many problems, but donīt let them out here in that way.

And...when I read your post...You must think ligaya is the worst song of all time.
So I know that you havenīt much knowledge of music.

I donīt like ligaya when it is played in the original speed.
I love it when it is pitched up one semitone. Then itīs definately a BURNER.
The speed is very important and can change the whole caracter of a song.

Here some songs I only like when a semitone pitched up:

The Quest - C Sharp
Detektor - Fly (Dok Ponticelli Remix)
Vac Scene - My Emotion (Kid Vicious Remix)
Gouryella - Ligaya
Airwave - Escape From Nowhere
Airwave - Save me

...and others.

So donīt kick songs down before you know them.
And think about words BEFORE you write them down !

Itīs right that a lot of shit is produced in germany, but this shit is all that what you can hear on the radio and tv.
The real trance/club music that is produced by german producers can kick many many asses. Thatīs a fact.

Bye

I'm sorry if my use of the word Kraut caused offence! It was tongue-in-cheek and I was not aware that it was offensive to Germans. That was out of order and I apologise.

However I do not apologise for slagging Ligaya - 'cos it is shit. The bassline is almost identical to the one he used on "Exhale" for a start. That high-pitched squeal is the definition of German naffness - sped up it would be so high-pitched it would only be bothering dogs!! Which would be no bad thing!

As for the breakdown how many times can we hear another tune which uses classical strings b4 going into a hackneyed old supersaw riff?? Two years out of date at least Ferry - get with the program or prepare to be overtaken by the new breed of producers.

As for German trance I WAS referring to your best producers (with the exception of the lovely PVD) - Cosmic Gate, Dumonde, Overdose records etc. The likes of Beam VS Cyrus and all that dire vocal trash you lot churn out ain't even counting as trance in my opinion. At the end of the day you lot don't know your beats!! Bosh, Bosh, Bosh, oooh what shall we use this time? I know another offbeat bassline just like every other tune!!! And as for those awful stab riffs!!! You never heard of subtlety have you? You lot seem to be single-handedly starting the gabba revival!

Give up now you're fucking useless!!!!!!!!!!!!
