Hey guys!!! Wink
I LOVE Blank and Jones!!! Cool They are amazing in all they do!!!! First, they are sooooooooo nice and friendly with fans!!(got many pictures with them, dedications and stuff..) After, they just made an amazing set on July the 5th at the A65 in Kandel..I've been there and they made people soooooooooooooo happy with WATCHING THE WAVE (SVENSSON & GIELEN MIX) mixed with SVENSSON AND GIELEN - TWISTED , with MEGARA - FULL INTENTION and so on! They are really amazing on stage and the performance was awesome..the best party in my life!! Moreover DESIRE is unbelievable (Accuface,Silverblue,4 Strings,Rave.. everything's soooo good!)
My favorite tracks? Beyond Time (Club Mix) Laughing Laughing Laughing
and Desire (Accuface mix)..(even if all the tracks are fantastic..)
I'm really a big fan now!!! Got any mind about the guys?? How did you found the sets..?Any favorite set?Come on let's talk about all that!
PIET AND JASPA RULES!
Chandy

since im in the mood to speak my mind hehe i wasnt being arrogant with you hi-voltage but this little short story is such a sad tale, i aint accusing this of you however

a guy gets a promo vinyl/rip
this guy thinks its brilliant
this guy happly listens to it
then he hears it on the radio
then his world collapses and now...
its commercial piece of junk
and he must not touch at all costs!

okay maybe some way u r right, but a real 'underground trancemaster' could make difference beetwen real commercial junk(like B&J)and some good music which are made commercial. The word commercial in music doesn't mean always that is radio played one...the music itself could be so poor and fashionable that it is is just done for the big audience.
and an example for the other side....some good music are played in the radio, and they called commercial>>>listen Kai Tracid,it's radio played, and is it commercial???I think not

fine you make good points but because an artist is more commerical than others i dont think that should mean the 'crap labels' come out or be used against them

blank of jones of course make music thats more mainstream and appeals to more people, but how can you say this is garbage of crap? it can be just more catchy to and some respect upbeat, also regarding desire ive never seen it fail to get people going when heard live and there will always be the odd few songs like too many times, fire wire etc that can be slightly unexpectedly hammered on the radio.

before you say anything blank & jones arn't may favourite dj's/producers so its not an arselicking holy thing Very Happy

to whoever said b&j were comerical/mainstream

what you are saying is true in away...but i feel only aspects of their own produced music and sets is comercial..because most of the time u do hear rather large underground tunes within theirs sets. and of all the sets from blank and jones i have heard in the past (and albums) i have never been disapointed with them....which says something cos im very judgemental when it comes to deciding what is so-called 'underground' or 'mainstream' music...

.but to be honest ive started to go off trance big style...basically cos it doesnt do it for me anymore and its GENRALLY the same formula each time big build ups/minor build ups etc which goes a bit shit after 5 or 6 years of listening to trance, doing the same thing each time. i need something new...prog/tribal/tech house is the way forward Wink

yes, but unfortunately even SOME progressive is becomin' kinda dry and predictable ,not all but some producers are releasing some extremely boring tracks, with all these djs rushing into the sense. we should remember that progressive house is not the modern disco , and thats what some djs are doing.. there is still hope since most producers are being more musical.. ie: Sasha.

good point...but lets hope it doesnt follow the same road trance has in recent years...to a point where it cannot evolve or create something new or innovative and become basically a pile of shit...and like you said dj's like sasha are at the moment successfully making sure this doesnt happen...which can only be a good thing... Wink

Post Post subject: Are B&J commercial??? Reply with quote

Back to the topic of this thread....I've said that B&J are commercial shit and I keep this opinion Laughing
Have u seen them at the Loveparade???they were absoluetly shit Evil or Very Mad they've played their fuckin' hits and they adolized themselves as if they were such a great DJ or producer...
No one did this on LP(expect WestBam who did something for his name)but many DJ could do it....
think of it Wink

fair enough you have that opinion and u basically dislike them, have u ever thought they might hate u and think youre a pile of commercial shit?

and the stuff about playing their own tracks, so fcuk its only self promotion mate...how are other dj's and associated people suposed to hear their stuff, (so they can sign it to lables or play it their sets etc) if they dont play it?....just think about it...

anyway just about all dj producers do it....paul van dyk, marco v, tiesto, ferry corsten...etc...and there is not bigger event to promote your music than at the loveparade?? so why waste the oportunity?
