well.. who wants to miss the masterpieces by genius oliver. it was just a suggestion, but i realy think LSGs productions are a lot more meaningful than dirty vegas. he used that commercial popish trance in his liveset. Rolling Eyes and they call it underground Laughing LSG, at least its worth a spin.

Picked it up last week.

An interesting assortment of tracks, with cd 1 mainly taking a slightly more ambient tilt on the progressive sound.

cd 2 is better (gotta love Cass - Mind Rewind) and keeps with the overall feel of the compilation, that of deep prog without being dark... if that makes any sense.

Not a mindblowing, party-all-night compilation, more a subdued 'classy' stab at the progressive sound. Still, i thoroughly enjoyed it.

well, it is Great Smile but not mindblowing like you said, and again not the revelation I hoped for either.. i like the 1st disk a little more..
This looks more like future disco to me somehow, there is always breaks, never goes away and there is enough variety to keep the party going.
And you are exactly right about the compilation being deep but not dark,... Its very unique sound, more like future to me.
High lights in the first disk are Nu Mood Orchestra - Aphrodesiac it realy looks like orchestra, vey minimal.... Space Junk - Microgroove believe it or not this is 1999 production, but without this tune the disk would be missing a lot. Exclamation Exclamation
second disk starts with a high light Charlie May - Behemoth and Dark Globe - Mondo Scuro, and Excession who never ever disappoints, makes the most epic part of the whole album with the beautiful journey Spatialize. its an unforgettable production by Grant Collins.

His livesets and productions raised my expectations a lot more than i thought, its a promising mix..... a new direction of progressive soundscapes, This is only the beginning i suppose.. and the best yet to come Idea
