Its already getting a lot of attention. Sasha never disappoints if you look at his history of producing and djing, sasha has been working on this album with a lot of effort... so you know what you get

it has been in the works for the last 5 years, but the whole album was made in the last 18 months, so all stuff made prior to that isn't on the album
Still working on the review :p

ah, the much awaited sasha album
there is so much expectations and hype surrounding this, with due reason, every once in a while, there is a storm waiting to be unleashed, which sets the world on fire, like it has been said over the past 5 yrs that sasha was meticously crafting piece by piece, to almost absolute perfection to what would be his first album, the fisrt concrete proof is needed to, testament to his outstanding insight and talent, as a producer, he has no doubt proved this to many fans before over and over time again, but what was sorely lacking was that for a person which had almost universal praise, from his fans and other fellow artists and dj's, was a album showcasing his wide range of skills and adaptabilty in understanding not just progressive trance rather than giving us a little glimpse into his world, highlighting his natural instinct and understanding of music in general, almost irrespective of type, being able to manuiplate and play with music on so many levels, that at first sight might seem, simple, but then as he pulls you into his music, you get drawn into another reality, where the only rules are defined by the music and the limits of your perception and imagination
and as much part as you yourself, play a pivotal role in enjoying the music, it has to be said, that artist/dj is crucial, you cant start to enjoy overtly bad music, even good music in the wrong situations can be just as bad. to put in even in further light a good artist can utilize silence, where the passage of silence in a musical arrangemt plays as much emotion as a full blown melody, the key word is in arrangement, often seems that there is a very special way of arranging, musical notes and other integral parts, in a way that if got right, its like a code, once you get it right, it unlocks a safe, to riches, the question is what is more important, the safe (ie the riches of the mind and soul, experinced through the music) or the key (which in this case is the delivery and composition of the music), as rarely one may experince is that at times the music, which fundamentally is just a series of harmonic representations, which in turn are translated to a series of compression and decomprssions of air as music travels to your ear, at the basic level just seems so simple, but the effects often defy belief, from times where music stirs your soul into a torent of a fit of stormy rage of anger, right to the excruciating sorrow and torement of sorrow, sadness and feeling of loss, and in a split second feeling of underated joy, and the feeling your on top of this world, almost a sense of invunrabilty from the despire and hate in the world.
As the common saying " a picture is worth a thousands words", what is in essence the value of music, looking at from this view i can say that the value of music, might be inquantifible, i cant realise or begin to think of the begining of the entirity of the value, as time and time again, theres so many new avenues that are exposed as i listen to new music, or even begin to rediscover old music in a new light
much of the above i have experinced whilst listen to a wide variety of music, trance, progressive, breaks, chillout, even few classical pieces, but the realisation of my thoughts were more than often or not made clearer by listening to quite a few pieces by sasha, credit where its due, i've tried to fit the imgae of a man manipulating a persons emtional state through the music, and the rendition of this image, is i feel just a single facet of the man in a multitude of abilities he has.
wether he has acquaried this skill thro the yrs of dj'ing and observing the crowd reactions to certain sounds and music, and by experimenting on them, musically, seeing what he can do or not, on the other hand if it is more of an intrinsic talent, that he's had the grasp since he was born, thro the character developing and the early days, where he had to manufacture and make his suceess and techniques, one thing is for sure, in my view im gratefull for the music he has made availble, with all his hard earned sucess, one can not feel that it is wholehartly deserved and earned, but the apreciaiton of sasha, is often realised in many ways, take for example the forthcoming album
for many it is the his effort and knowledge he has gained over the years distilled into approximatly 1hr, how much effort it must take to produce something representative in 1 hr what is in reality almost a decades material, this takes alot of hard work and decisions which at his best requires no less than short of perfection, in a way he's trying to paint a picture of himslef and his musical past with this, yes it might have been in the pipeline for 5 yrs, understandbily, in light of the monumental task, which himself and the fans expect nothing less than that, it has taken so much time,
In one sense i'm glad, and overjoyed with the prospect of the completion of his album which i am lucky enough that i am going to be able to listen to shortly, ive not had the wait for 5yrs or even approaching a yr, like other fervently addicted fans have, but in another aspect, i wish i could erase and wipe any expectations or ideas, of the album.
To which im fairly certain, if you go into the mindset of listening to this album, without any predujicde or expectations, that when you hear the music, you will be suprised, taken away by the sheer emotion and enjoyment, just like a baby opens his eyes for the first time, a sense of imense opertunity of self discovery and pleasure, realizing other apsects to which were unimaginable before
credit where its due, i can see myself listening to this album 20/30yrs down the line, still discovering and enjoying it, i am grateful that at least in my lifetime, i get to experince this, and im sure many will enjoy it, in many ways more than one, and i can just hope that people appreciate and enjoy it, and be rewarded aptly, consdering the effort that must have gone into it, what was it 5 yrs, 18 mth, nah, i think the music will speak for itself

ATB was that supposed to be Darkglobe? Sasha... hmmm.... I think his style of prog. is slightly more to my liking than anyone else I've heard - and you cant beat 'Xpander' to be one of the classics.... But progressive just aint my style? And how ppl call trance cheese, because lots of ppl listen to it, must be the same for Sasha&Digweed... because all my m8s know who they are, and take the piss, but they have never heard of DJ Tiesto - and in my eyes, you cant get much bigger then him! Thats my opinion on progressive house stuff... totally respect anyone in the electronica scene, dont get me wrong! I'd wanna see Sasha be big, and wanna see him do well... but his style dont appeal to me...

Trance is not cheesy, Trance is mislabeled by some companies to sell their garbage and make money out of it. Alice Deejay for example..... yes its danceable but why do people call it trance. The Orb calls his production trance too but compare these two, you'll know what i mean.
and about sasha, he is already big..... and doesn't have to apeal anyone.. and music is more than bunch of beats to dance to ,Oblic.

I don't mind, I respect everyone's opinion, some like Sasha, some don't, that's GOOD, cause if we all liked the same DJ, how boring would that be???
BTW, how do you all like the review?
