Post subject: Argh !! HELP ! Speaker balance probs in Win XP !! |
|
|
I recently upped to Windows XP Home Edition Build 2002 and now I'm having probs with my balance. IT only plays loud from the one speaker, while the other one plays waaaay soft in the backround if u listen hard..I've checked evrywhere..my balance on the volume control is centered...In Winamp the balance is also centered etc...I've checked whether it's my Hi-fi..but it isn't..cd's play normal on it..is it my mixer connected to it ? No, because it's balance is also correct and if I play through the decks it also sounds right..
So it must be the fuckin' PC !!! But I have been to the Sound settings numerous times..I've uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers..but to no avail..
Can anybody help me !!!??

as much as that sound a wise idea... id say if all your balance settings are correct... then it might be your wiring on your speekers.. is every wire pushed in fully ??
a good way to check this.. is to plug a pair of headphones directly in to the back of the PC where the line out to your speekers is.. then see if they play normal or not.. then u know where the prob is atleast...
.. of the subject totaly.. WHAT A FCUKING NICE DAY the sun is shining... the tunes are pumping.. the parents have gone on hol.. and im gettin recked tonight... LIFES SWEEEET

if it is not that, since you haven't said which sound card you got, go check the mulitmedia settings in the control panel (i think its sound and device setting, or sum crap) and see the settings are right ie desktop speakers waht ever selected
if its a soundblaster live then you might have digital out enabled, as this tends quiten the front channels (off completely) and you can barely hear sound of the rear speakers, (ie you have to crank them up to stupid levels! to hear a squeak, well this is on a sblive and 4/5 channel speakers,
dunno if it this is gonna help!

I used to have problems with my sound, sometimes coming loud then going quiet and to fix it I had to go on winamp and turn the winamp control on and it went away, then one day it just was normal when I turned it on, for no real reason that I know... stupid things
