I've just had email from matt darey, as I mentioned in Infinitys Review of beautiful, I'd mailed matt asking him about some stuff.... heres the reply

Hi Ian, Ive been working on some new stuff after my two years holiday/travelling. They will surface in the next few months. I'd love to do an interview. Just mail me the questions. You can also visit my website.

1) How did you get into producing? Did you have to produce other styles of music before breaking into the trance scene?

2) Will you ever start DJing regulary? Would you like too??

3) How did you feel when your mix Binary Finary's 1998 became huge! In fact one of the biggest trancers ever!

to get onto the Matt as a DJ thing, from what I read on pure euphoria, it won't happen, he does digital mixes for that, adds bits in to make it flow, but hes not a DJ as such, just a producer, tho i'd love to see him do a Rank 1esque peformance at a big event maybe we should ask him about any new albums he may have to do soon like euphoria, his attitude to trance and where he stands now, if hes still uplifting or wants to experiment etc

Keep them all coming tho

Just been on Tranceseekers site, it says Matt Darey = Lost Tribe, is this the same Lost Tribe who done the excellent Stand Up in the early 90s? hmmm, that was a tribal-house classic! Very Happy

It also says his better known 'Mash Up' name, i wonder if there are any more...?
