 For a producer who had his first major release all the way back in 2003 it will be quite a surprise to many that Robert Nickson has never released an artist LP. That is of course, until next month…
There are a few names in trance that have some what of an underground reputation. Robert Nickson is one such producer who has been producing music since the early 2000’s. He is now one you will see of every top trance event line up, or one you would see bragging the spotlight in magazine articles. He is one though who has gained an immense amount of respect for his outstanding music over the years from trance fans.
It seems a bit mad then ever since his first major releases back in the early 2000’s that Robert has never released a full length artist album. He has some immensely driving singles during his time as a producer and released on the biggest labels within the genre. I’m sure every trance fan will recognise his tracks ‘Spiral’ and his collaboration under the guise Masters & Nickson with ‘Out There’.
He has been a firm favourite with trance labels like A State of Trance, Flashover, Pure Trance and FSOE over the past few years but his debut collection lands on one of the great trance labels of our time in Black Hole Recordings. Just what to expect from his debut album is unknown at the moment but it will feature 18 tracks with a spread of trance styles and I’m sure other genres beyond. The news of it got me excited as my music journey has followed Roberts releases ever since his early ones.
The album is available right now to pre-order and will have e a full release next month. I almost forgot one little detail, what is this very much long awaited album called? The answer to that is ‘Tellurian’. What that exactly means I have no idea but it is not just a title track from the album, if fact it’s not even a track from the album.
