 The techno legend that is Mauro Picotto has been working on a new artist album and we will hear the fruits of his labour this year as he delivers his first long player for some time 'Heart To Techno'...
It’s an exciting time to be a Mauro Picotto fan as this year he will release a brand new artist album. Mauro is a man who keeps himself off the radar as you do have to do a big of digging to find out what he’s up to. The source of information on Picotto should be a lot easier as he has finally updated his own website. With the influx of social media the artist web site is one which just gets left out to rot these days. Its good Mauro has finally got his team to freshen up his. On it you will find out about his brand new artist album coming during some point this year. No release date has been announced as yet but the tracklist and cover art has.
Techno is the music of choice for Mauro these days. Many of you will know his form his trance influenced tracks from, the late 90’s. His style these days is very much progressive and dirty techno. It’s a good genre to be in as he is one of the richest artists in the world. Even with all that wealth he’s not resorted to throwing cake around or hanging around with spotty teenagers. He’s kept true to the techno sound and no doubt you can expect a fair bit of that with his new album.
Not only does he have new album on the way Mauro has also written a book due for publication this year. If you ever wanted an insight into the life and mind of one of the biggest DJ’s in the world then this book is a must read. From what I can gather his new book will be called ‘Vita Da DJ – From heart To techno’ and will be available in Italian and English editions. The release is scheduled for October so keep an eye out on your local book outlets or keep popping onto his website for more information on the book and his new album.
